Neo-Geo CD Review

By trying to appeal to a more mainstream crowd, SNK's foray into the world of CD gaming was too little too late and too expensive to make a splash. In as little as two years the console went through three hardware revisions, and after only three years on the market it was quietly discontinued. While the aspirations of the Neo CD are admirable, it's hardware was poorly executed with a single-speed CD drive and bulky chassis. Still, it's an interesting piece of kit and a well-regarded and sought after piece of SNK history.
